This month's memory verses:

Luke 1:30-33 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
[31] And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
[32] He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
[33] And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Scratching the Surface

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Ephesians 3: 17-19

God is infinite. Jesus is Emmanuel, "God with us". So Jesus is the Infinite God With Us. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6.

We could spend our entire lifetimes enumerating the wonders of our Saviour, even with the hindrance of the puny brains and the puny understanding we have in these sin distressed bodies, For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; ... I Corinthians 13:12.

Every aspect of our Savior could be searched and discussed for all eternity without reaching an end. Every one of these devotionals could reach to eternity. No matter what the topic or attribute of Jesus under discussion, it only opens an infinite number of doors to the other infinite attributes of our Savior. And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. John.21:25.

It is impossible to "narrow down" the Savior. We are woefully inadequate in our attempts to discuss our Lord. Eternity isn't long enough: But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD. Psalm 115: 18.

Jesus, Who bought our entrance to heaven, is worthy of all praise: Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD: Psalm 118:19. He deserves the praise of all, yet there would never be enough of us to adequately give Him the praise due to Him: O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. Psalm 117: 1.

So this month let us talk of our Precious Lord, and praise His name! For everything is about Jesus!

Jesus is God, the Father of Eternity!

But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions” Hebrews 1:8–9.

Jesus is God. He is called ‘Lord’ in Romans 10:9 where ‘Lord’ (kurios) is a translation of the Old Testament Yahweh (God). That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:13 cites Joel 2:32: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
This verse also indicates that as "Lord", He is the author of salvation; for only God can save!

And He is identified as the ‘Alpha and Omega’ and the equivalent ‘the first and the last’, the beginning and ending, the Alef and Tav. Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. Isaiah 44:6. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Revelation 1:8.

In the Old Testament, He is the Child who is called ‘Mighty God’ and ‘Everlasting Father’. In Hebrew this is literally ‘Father of Eternity’, meaning ‘Author of Eternity’. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6.

...His goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Micah 5:2.

Jesus is the Creator!

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

John 1:3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

Col 1:15-16 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

The identity of Christ as Creator is of utmost importance. Unless Jesus is bigger than creation he is not God. And He is God! He is bigger than creation!

The Bible makes it clear that Jesus created everything that was created. For by Him [Jesus] all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. Colossians 1:16.

If Jesus were not God the Creator, there would be nothing. But He owns it all! All eternity was, is, and ever will be: His. He is outside of time, and before He spoke the first words of creation the whole timeline of temporal existence was completed. His birth, death, burial and resurrection were finished. The redeemed and unredeemed were known before creation.

And yet, in today’s culture there are people teaching that Jesus was a created being. Or worse they are teaching there is no creation at all-- we are all an accident of evolution. This means that Jesus was also a product of evolution, not God and unable to save.

Biblical Christianity has been set apart from cults and other world religions because it alone acknowledges the true person of Jesus Christ—who He really is. In Islam, Jesus was a messenger of God, but not the Son of God. In many "Christian" cults, the deity of Jesus Christ is denied outwardly, or implied via the teaching that He is at our level. The other world religions and many individual beliefs only see Jesus as being another wise teacher or enlightened being.

Eventually, all will know Who He is: And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Rev. 13:8.

Isa.45: 23. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Rom.14: 11. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

Phil.2: 10. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

God is all good. Jesus is all good. Genesis chapter one tells us about creation that ....God saw that it was good.

Jesus is the Word!

John 1:1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Word Is Jesus!

John 5: 39. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Jesus is the Word of God. He is the personification of God’s revelation. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14. The term Logos or “Word” refers to Jesus Christ, the Living Word of God, fully God and yet fully man, who came to reveal God to man.

He redeems all who first hear the Word-- So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17.

--and then believe in Him. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12.

The principle of creation is that it is complete, or nothing. Nothing that God gave us is incomplete. Down to the tiniest atomic particle all things are complete and held together in entirety.

The Word is complete and perfect. For He is perfect.

Without the written and spoken witness of the Word authored by Jesus,
Without the written and spoken witness of the Word come to earth in the flesh--Jesus, there is nothing!

He is complete. His plan is complete. His creation is complete. It is ALL or NOTHING. He is ALL!

Jesus is Perfect! His Timing is Perfect!

And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: Mark 7:37.

Jesus does all things well. Not just well--perfectly. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. 2 Samuel 22:31.

All things are in His Control. He controls the total of everything, one small part of which is the temporal universe. Every atomic particle to every one of the billions of galaxies, and every tick of the clock are under His control. This includes earth...and me and you too.

All things happen at the right time, at the right place. Pss.31: 15. My times are in thy hand:...

In God's view everything is history. It's all a done deal and over. That is because God is outside of time, and He is not a part of "past, present, and future". Those things that we haven't seen come to pass (because we are "stuck in time" for the moment) are all facts to our Omnipotent God. All occurred just as God ordained:

  • Jesus was born at the right time in the right place. But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, Gal 4:4.
  • God will call us home to meet our King Jesus at the right time. That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: Ephesians 1:10.
  • Jesus will restore Israel at the right time. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. Acts 1:6-7.
  • All of the prophecies surrounding the Messiah came to pass in their proper time, in their proper place, just as they were ordained before the foundation of the world.

Jesus desires for His redeemed to walk with Him by faith. If we do this we will always do the right thing at the right time. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:15-17.

With our hand in the hand of Jesus we can be perfect, and be with Him always. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matt.5: 48. That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:Eph.1: 10.

Jesus Has Always Been the Everlasting God,

(Old Testament)

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Pss. 90: 2. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. Prov.8: 23.

"Jesus" is the everlasting name at which every knee shall bow. Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting. Isa.63: 16.

Jesus is The Everlasting God, Who became man to die for Adam's fallen children. He was born in due time in Bethlehem, just as He planned from before there was time. But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Mic.5: 2.

Jesus is The Everlasting Holy God. Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? ... Hab.1: 12.

Jesus is the everlasting KING and has an everlasting throne. But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Hebrews 1:8. Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting. Pss.93:2.

Jesus deserves everlasting praise! Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD. Pss.106: 48. Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen. Pss. 41:13.

Take Time to Praise Him now!

Jesus Has Always Been the Everlasting God, (New Testament)

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Rev.22: 13.

The title of First and Last, Alpha and Omega (Greek), or Alef and Tav (Hebrew), belongs to Jesus alone. What is He the beginning and end of? EVERYTHING! He is the One who is the source of all things. He made all things, He keeps all things. The whole of Creation is held together by His care!

Revelation 1:8. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Revelation 1:11. Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last:...

We are a part of His creation. But we rebelled. In His everlasting love and mercy He endured the shame of the cross at Calvary. He paid the ultimate price for our redemption. Jesus is the Beginning and End of our Salvation. He is the water of eternal life. We are given the opportunity to drink from that fountain and accept His free gift of salvation. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. Revelation 21: 6.

Jesus explained this to the woman at the well. He is the water of life. We cannot rely on religion, good works, self discipline, ethics etc. Just Jesus, and a relationship with Him. As our "water" He gives life and dwells within...But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. John.4:14.

We must come to Jesus for His free gift. He is the bread of life. There is no other way. He is the way the truth and the life! It is Jesus or nothing, Jesus plus nothing, Jesus plus no one! And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. John 5: 35.

Jesus Is the Sinless All in All

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2Cor.5: 21.

  • Jesus is the sinless eternal God. As part of the eternal Godhead He is completely God. Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
    That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Hebrews 2:6-11.
  • Jesus is the sinless willing sacrifice. He is the lamb who came to the slaughter. He was killed by no one. He gave up His life voluntarily. He stood before His accusers with only thoughts of forgiveness and love. Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 1Pet.2:22.
  • Jesus is the sinless Savior. He is the only path of salvation. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 1John.3:5.
  • Jesus is the sinless High Priest. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Heb.4: 15.
  • Jesus is the sinless triumphant returning KING! His second coming is imminent! So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Hebrews 9:28.

Jesus is Fully God and Fully Man

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 1 Timothy 2:5.

Jesus was conceived supernaturally. He was implanted within Mary's womb as the Son of God. Mary was the chosen vessel to be the earthly temporary home for the New Adam. The first Adam had condemned his descendents to an eternity of separation from God in an eternal living-death in hell. Jesus was the new Father who would adopt us into His new family. This family would consist of all the former slaves of sin who would be redeemed by His blood. He was, is, and ever will be, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. It was only His identity as Sinless God that gave him the qualifications to redeem mankind.

Yet, Jesus was fully man. Because he had a physical body He became subject to becoming tired, hungry, thirsty, sick. He had all the temptations that this "breaky" body can bestow. Yet Jesus never succumbed to them. He never sinned. He could not sin.

As 100% God and 100% man in the flesh. While on earth before His crucifixion, and for eternity:

  • He has the ability to forgive sins: Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace. Luke 7:47–50.
  • He has the ability to judge all people: For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.John 5:26-7.
  • He sends forth the Holy Spirit: But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: John 15:26.
  • He accepts worship: And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.Hebrews 1:6. Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. Matthew 14:33.

Jesus is fully EVERYTHING we need!

Without Jesus as Creator He Could Not be Savior

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2.

If Jesus were not the Creator (Author) of our every existence, He would be unable to save us (Finisher). Then we would be eternally lost in our sins.

The Universe is suffering from entropy (the second law of thermodynamics). This means that energy has a tendency to be dispersed. As the created energy that God put into the universe gradually disperses, things break. God originally put safeguards in place, but sin has caused things to break more than they repair. This is why our bodies eventually wear out with age and die.

In order to fix the universe, the "fixer" needs to be:

  • outside of the universe, and not subject to its laws. Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in Him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers — all things have been created through Him and for Him ... Col 1:15–16. ... yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist ... 1 Cor 8:6.
  • able to re-do the brokenness aspect, by re-creating it. For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.Isaiah 65:17.
Therefore the Savior of that universe has to be bigger than the universe. Only the Creater God is bigger than creation. Behold, to the LORD your God belong heaven and the highest heavens, the earth and all that is in it ... Deu 10:14. The earth is the LORD'S, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it. For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers ... Psa 24:1–2.

Unless the universe was a deliberate act of creation, accomplished by the word of The Creator as He said, there can be no salvation from sin. If Jesus did not create the universe He is a liar, and not God. There would be no hope.

Jesus IS the Immortal, Invisible, Almighty God! 1Tim.1: 17. Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Jesus is Outside of Time

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Revelation 4:11.

Micah 5:2.

Time is a created thing; Jesus is the Creator. Time was designed for us and our "temporal" universe. Temporal means "within time". Time is just a blip in eternity.

Time had a definite beginning, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1. It will have a definite end. And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: Rev.10:6.

In between the beginning and the end is the period ordained by Jesus to create and redeem a people to share His eternity. He knew that there could be no created eternal humankind who could remain sinless. He knew that sin was inevitable in anyone created in a physical existence. An act of sacrifice and redemption for these beings was equally inevitable. So Jesus planned this blip in eternity to create us and become like one of us, just to redeem us...for it pleased Him to do so.

We will never understand why God could love us, knowing before anything came into being how we would hate Him so. We can't fathom how He could be pleased to leave Heaven to suffer and save sinners such as we!

Out of the ivory palaces,
Into a world of woe,
Only His great eternal love
Made my Savior go.

(Ivory Palaces, Henry Barraclough, 1915)

The Holy Spirit Gives Jesus Preeminence

Jude.1: 25. To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

John.15: 26. But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

There are many false gods and imposter-messiahs, and there always have been. Various religions have placed other beings in the place that should be reserved only for the KING, Who is the Lamb, slain from the foundation of the world.

The Holy Spirit is God! Yet His position is not that of a "glory hog". His job is to woo sinners, bring conviction of sin to them, and indwell, comfort, and guide them after they are saved. In all His dealings with mankind the Holy Spirit continually guides and directs all attention to the Savior, to Jesus.

It is a mystery of God how we are led by the Spirit, but our relationship is with the Savior. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 1 Timothy 2:5.

The Spirit is grieved when our communication does not match His own. Just as He brings glory to Jesus, in all our speech we should bring glory to JESUS! The result of glorifying Jesus is the edifying (building up and encouraging) of the family of Christ. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 4: 29-30.

It is not uncommon to attend some church services during which the name of Jesus (who is the WORD) is not even mentioned. Nor is the Word of God given the authority. Instead, the Spirit is all that is talked about. "The "Spirit" told me this... The "Spirit" told me that." People are using the Spirit to say that they are being led to do things that are clearly contrary to the Word of God. If a spirit has any message that contradicts the Bible, it is NOT the Holy Spirit. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1John.4:1.

If you are one whose claim of Christianity is based upon your speaking with the "spirit", or the "spirit" speaking through you, give that spirit this test. Ask the spirit if Jesus is the Savior come in the flesh, and to confirm it with the Word of God. If that spirit falls silent it is NOT the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will always bring you back to Jesus, the Word. For as Jesus said, he shall testify of me:

Scripture tells us:

1John.4: 2-3. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. V.15.
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

2John.1: 7. For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Jesus is the Holy Child, the King of All!

Acts 4:24-30.

Jesus is the Holy Child. He was born to the "woman", the nation of Israel, descended from the woman, Eve. This Jewish Child was ordained to bless all the nations of the world by bringing salvation to anyone who would accept it. And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Genesis 3:15.

The same passage in Acts that identifies Him as the Holy Child also makes it clear that He goes far beyond that.

  • Jesus is the Creator of all. Acts 4:24. And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
  • Jesus is Perfect Holiness, hated by those intent on remaining in sin: vs. 25-6. Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
  • Jesus is the Planned Savior, come to earth to willingly give His life (because of our sins) for all of us. Government and religious leaders, non-Jews and Jews who were there at the time, were proxy representatives of the rest of us at His crucifixion. vs. 27-8. For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.
  • Jesus is the Head of His church. We are His ambassadors to those who still oppose Him. vs. 29-30. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. Acts 4:24-30.

We need to be telling people of our Jesus--because it's ALL about HIM! 2Cor.5:20. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Jesus Died For ALL Mankind

Revelation 7:9-10. After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

Jesus, the Sovereign Creator, knew before He had created anything what the entire scenario of the temporal universe would be. The beginning and the end were done deals. Before creation was spoken into being He had already been slain in eternity. This sacrificial act only needed to be placed into the dimension of time and space that He would create.

Jesus' love was what brought Him to die for us. For we have no redeeming value outside of the character of God. It is His mercy, and love that gives us value. But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children; Pss.103: 17.

All the humans that would ever be born were part of the same race of Adam. There is no difference between any of us. All are alike. All are sinners in need of Jesus. Rom.5: 12. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:. Rom.3:23. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Jesus, the Word, gave the promise of a Messiah to Adam and Eve. He expanded that promise to Abraham. Gal.3: 8. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

Jesus, Who is Mercy personified, from everlasting to everlasting already died for ALL our sins. His love is for all to be saved. Sadly, most will reject Him, preferring their own self and sin to His love and mercy. But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children; Pss.103: 17.

Still, He waits for us. He is long-suffering. for every sin we choose grieves His merciful heart. 2Pet.3: 9. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Jesus Cannot be Limited

  • Those who prefer to keep Jesus in the manger as a cute infant are severely limiting the nature of the Messiah.
  • Those who prefer to keep Jesus hanging on the cross are severely limiting the nature of the Messiah.
  • Those who believe Jesus is just a man (enlightened or not), a good example, teacher or role model are severely limiting the nature of the Messiah.
  • Those who prefer to keep Jesus in the background as they make supplications and prayers to others are severely limiting the nature of the Messiah.

Jesus is the Immortal, Invisible, Almighty God. He's the Ancient of Days, All Wise, All Powerful, The Conquering KING of KINGS..... We could go on listing the wonders of Jesus for all eternity, and never run out of names, qualities, or superlatives. His active mercies are infinite. And every second He adds a new infinite set of loving behaviors towards His creation.

Paul was wondrously saved after spending the first part of his life persecuting the Lord, believing all the while that he was serving God. He did not know Who Jesus really was. He had limited Jesus and had Him categorized as a heretic to Judaism.

Just like Paul, we all believe that we are doing well, and we underestimate the Savior. Through His love and long suffering patience we finally meet Jesus and are equally miraculously wondrously saved. All this is via Jesus' love and mercy and grace. Then, with Paul, we can say, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? Acts 9: 5-6.

If we have a limited concept of Jesus we cannot be saved! If we deny any part of Him-- especially His Deity, and His roles as Creator and Savior,--.we have the wrong "Jesus". We have an imposter who cannot save. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him....2Corinthians 11: 3-4.

Once we recognize WHO He is, we can be saved! John.3: 18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Then our desire should be to give Him his due. He, and only He, deserves ALL our gratitude, love, and praise.

1Tim.1: 15-7. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Jesus is THE Son of God.

Mark.3: 11. And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

Sometimes the phrase "sons of God" is used to describe either angelic beings or humans. These other "sons of God" are created beings. THE Son of God is: God in the flesh, the New Adam, The Everlasting Father of a new perfected race of humans.

It is sad that demons, who are unable to repent and be saved, are aware of the Person and Power of the Savior. They are aware of Who The Son of God is. They know that there is only ONE Son of God, and that His name is: Jesus, Emmanuel (God with us). Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. Jas.2:19

When put into His presence the demons fell down before him. Phil.2: 10. This is the same sort of fall that will happen at the last judgment when all will acknowledge Who Jesus is. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;.

Just like the demons' recognition of Jesus, the acknowledgment of Jesus' name by lost humans will not be accompanied by belief.

The knowledge the demons have of The Son of God is not enough to save them. Their rebellion is different from that of humankind. They dwelled in God's presence as spiritual non-physical beings. They knew Him well, and rebelled deliberately and with premeditation and planning. They are incapable of the heart-belief that brings repentence and redemption.

Adam and Eve sinned on the spur of the moment. They were in rebellion, but without the more complete pure spiritual knowledge that the angels had. As children of Adam and Eve, mankind is fallen because we are born that way. Jesus, God, became man for us to give us redemption by swapping His spiritual righteousness for our sinful physical humanity.

To one day dwell with Jesus as one of His redeemed, we must have a saving-knowledge of the name of the only begotten Son of God! Scripture makes it clear that salvation can only come when one believes on the Name of Jesus! Knowing about His name as the demons do, and actually having a heart-filled belief in His name are two completely different things. The old adage that people miss heaven by 12 inches is true when you realize the head knowledge (like the demons possess) is 12 inches away from the heart-belief that you need. Rom.10: 10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

John.3: 18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Gal.3: 8. ... In thee shall all nations be blessed. Matt.12: 21. And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

Jesus Willingly Submitted to the Father, Being Subject to Him

Jesus is God. His preincarnate existence, before He created the blip we call Time, was different from what it is now. Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Hebrews 2:6-7.

When Jesus left the ivory palaces of Heaven to be born in a body of flesh He placed himself in subjection to His Heavenly Father. Luke.22: 42. Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Furthermore, as a human child, He was obedient to his human parents. And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. Luke 2:51-2.e

Later He willingly obeyed the civil and religious authorities. Mark.12: 17. And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.

It is one of the secret mysteries of God how Jesus is one with the Father, yet in subjection to His Heavenly Father. Luke.10:22. All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

We do know why Jesus did what He did--it was His eternal and incomprehensible love for us. John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,. Rom.8:39. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus said that there were things that only the Father knew. This is another mystery to us, but Jesus did all things for us--as an example for us. While here on earth He received what He needed from the Father the same way that we do--at the will of the Father at the time of the Father's choosing. Matthew 24: 36. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

The Father also keeps us safe in His hands. John 10: 29-30. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.

Jesus Is a Mystery!

Romans 16: 25-27. Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

The Bible tells us that there are secret things and mysteries that only God knows. A newborn baby can't understand-- and doesn't need to know --how advanced calculus works. (Most of us adults have never learned this subject!).

Almost all (probably more than 99. 99999999...%) of what God knows we can't understand and never will have the capacity to understand. Plus, we don't need to--for God can take care of all things without our help!

Occasionally God gives us a partial understanding of some mystery, but it is limited to our capacity to grasp it.

The saving knowledge of Jesus is a "foolish mystery" to the blind unbelieving heart. 1 Cor. 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
[23] But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
1Cor.2:
14. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

It seems that this blindness to the mystery of the first coming of the Messiah to die on Calvary extended to the principalities, ...powers, ...the rulers of the darkness of this world, ... spiritual wickedness in high places. (Eph.6:12).

This blindness was ordained to enable Jesus to freely give His life for us, without being hindered. Satan had spent the entire Old Testament trying to destroy the Jews to prevent the Messiah from coming to earth. But he, like the majority of the Jews, missed the prophesies of Messiah's First Coming as the Sacrificial Lamb. Satan was expecting Jesus to try to become earth's King. He thought Jesus was going to lead a rebellion against Rome. Satan had indwelled Judas, and sold the Messiah to the Jewish leaders for thirty pieces of silver. He truly believed that he had outsmarted Jesus and thwarted the overthrow of the Roman Empire by "causing" Jesus to die at Calvary. When Jesus cried "It is finished", Satan witnessed his own defeat in the biggest "whoops" moment in history. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
1Corinthians 2: 7-8.

Hallelujah, What a Savior!

Jesus is Love. There is No Love Without Him.

1 John 4

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 1John 4:7.

What most people consider "love" are merely self-based emotions like infatuation, lust, the desire for attention, or the need to control.

Real love is self-less. It's a choice and a deliberate behavior. It is not based on circumstances.1John.4: 10. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

We can only learn what real love is when we meet Jesus. We love him, because he first loved us. 1John.4:19.

Jesus told us Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13.

Jesus gave us the perfect example of love that is "greater than the greatest" love by choosing to give His life for His enemies. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: 1John.3:16. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8.

Jude.1:21. Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

When we recognize that gentle saving love of Jesus, and accept His gift of eternal life, we receive a new heart. It is then that we are able to partake of, and extend God's real love.

1John.4:9. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

1John.4
[1] Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
[2] Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
[3] And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
[4] Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
[5] They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
[6] We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
[7] Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
[8] He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
[9] In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
[10] Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
[11] Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
[12] No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
[13] Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
[14] And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
[15] Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
[16] And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
[17] Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
[18] There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
[19] We love him, because he first loved us.
[20] If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
[21] And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Jesus Has a Special Love for Israel

Deut. 7:6-8. For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:
But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Satan hates anything good. His first hatred was for Jesus Who created him. Next, he hates anything Jesus loves-- mankind. Because of the Lord's promise to Adam and Eve to send a descendent to reclaim the fallen race, Satan knew that a special child would be born at some point. Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Satan especially hates God's chosen people, the Jews. He was smart enough to know that they were important as the family to which the Chosen Child would be born. This was a promise to Abraham. Gal.3: 8. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

So the devel's psychotic hatred has been directed towards Israel ever since. He has indwelled and incited numerous sociopathic humans to try to wipe out the Jews. Rev. 12:13. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

But God has set a special love for Israel. This small nation would be the keepers of the Word. They would write the Holy Scriptures, and they would be the "mother" of the Word made flesh, born in Bethlehem. But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. Micah 5: 2-3.

Over and over Israel forsook the Lord. They turned quickly out of the way. Yet God never stopped loving them, He never gave up. His love and mercy are never ending. He is faithful. Isa.49: 7. Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

Israel was dispersed from their land. But God gave a promise that they would return to their land and then come alive. Ezek.37:3. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

Israel will eventually recognize the Messiah, Jesus, Who loves them! Zech.12:10. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

God WILL keep His promise! And Israel will give Him her heart! Jeremiah 31: 31-4. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
What a wonderful promise! What a Wonderful Savior!

Jesus Knows Us Intimately--And STILL Loves US!

Pss.139

Each one of us is known by God. He knew what would happen during every second of our life before the universe was created. In Psalm 139 God's Word  explains this better than a thousand theologians.

David, the man after God's own heart, committed a number of horrendous sins. Yet he knew the Savior. The Savior knew him, and David was aware that his sins were not secret to God. We sometimes blind ourselves to our sins because "we have a good reason for doing what we did". Pss.19: 12. Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

David was forgiven. But the many consequences of his actions remained. His family was in shambles. He almost lost the nation to his own two rebellious sons: first Absalom, then Adonijah.

This knowledge that he was known by God and yet loved by God is what David had to sustain him in both the good and tough times! Like Peter and David all of us can say: The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.Ps 18:2. Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. John 6:68.

Please read Psalm 139. We are loved!  What a Savior!

(Easy-to-Read Version, ERV)

To the director: A praise song of David.

1 LORD, you have tested me, so you know all about me.
2 You know when I sit down and when I get up.
You know my thoughts from far away.
3 You know where I go and where I lie down.
You know everything I do.
4 LORD, you know what I want to say,
even before the words leave my mouth.
5 You are all around me—in front of me and behind me.
I feel your hand on my shoulder.
6 I am amazed at what you know;
it is too much for me to understand.
7 Your Spirit is everywhere I go.
I cannot escape your presence.
8 If I go up to heaven, you will be there.
If I go down to the place of death, you will be there.
9 If I go east where the sun rises
or go to live in the west beyond the sea,
10 even there you will take my hand and lead me.
Your strong right hand will protect me.

11 Suppose I wanted to hide from you and said,
“Surely the darkness will hide me.
The day will change to night and cover me.”
12 Even the darkness is not dark to you.
The night is as bright as the day.
Darkness and light are the same.
13 You formed the way I think and feel. [a]
You put me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because you made me in such a wonderful way.
I know how amazing that was!

15 You could see my bones grow as my body took shape,
hidden in my mother’s womb. [b]
16 You could see my body grow each passing day. [c]
You listed all my parts, and not one of them was missing.
17 Your thoughts are beyond my understanding. [d]
They cannot be measured!
18 If I could count them, they would be more than all the grains of sand.
But when I finished, I would have just begun. [e]

19 You murderers, get away from me!
God, kill those wicked people—
20 those who say bad things about you.
Your enemies use your name falsely. [f]
21 LORD, I hate those who hate you.
I hate those who are against you.
22 I hate them completely!
Your enemies are also my enemies.
23 God, examine me and know my mind.
Test me and know all my worries.
24 Make sure that I am not going the wrong way. [g]
Lead me on the path that has always been right. [h]

Psalm 139:24 Lead me … right Or “Guide me on the ancient path.”

Pss.139 (AV 1769)
[1] O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.
[2] Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
[3] Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
[4] For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
[5] Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
[6] Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
[7] Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
[8] If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
[9] If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
[10] Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
[11] If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
[12] Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
[13] For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
[14] I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
[15] My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
[16] Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
[17] How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
[18] If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
[19] Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
[20] For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
[21] Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
[22] I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
[23] Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
[24] And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

If A=B and B=C, Then A=C! Therefore A=B=C

(Math, part 1)

The above is a basic Math statement known as the transitive property of equality. God invented Math. All the things He invented for us in this temporal universe are based upon eternal principles that He wants us to know and use. This Math principle is one that applies to God Himself, to Scripture, to Creation, to Science, to our lives.

What we are saying in this statement is that: if one thing equals a second thing, and the second thing equals a third thing, then you can conclude that the first thing equals the third. And that means all three are equal. As long as things equal other things they are all equal.

Example: A=(4-1), B=(1+2), C= (1+1+1)

If (4-1) = (1+2) and (1+2) = (1+1+1)

Then (4-1) =(1+1+1)

(4-1)= (1+1+1) = (1+2). All are equal. Each term is different, but equal. And the "simple solution" for each is "3".

All this is to show us a little bit about the Trinity. The Bible has verses telling us that Jesus is God, that the Father is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. The three persons each are God. All different. All working together. All One. All equally God, yet inseparable (another mystery!). But the "simple solution" is the Trinity!

John.10: 30. I and my Father are one.

1John 5:7. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Deut.6: 4. Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Mark.12: 29. And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

Gal.3: 20. Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.

This mystery is one that we have a hard time comprehending. We are just too small, and our brains can't quite wrap around the facts. But God has given the saved a heart that can Believe! Even if we "sorta see the examples" we can't fully understand. We may eventually get the jist of what God is saying. Yet, all we need do is simply believe!

The Part is the Whole

(Math, part 2)

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. James 2:10.

One of the principles that God gave us is that of Fractals. The simple explanation of Fractals is that the bigger thing can be broken up into tiny parts that are just like the big thing. A glass of water consists of many drops of water. One drop viewed close up looks the same as the water in the glass (or a pitcher, or a water tanker truck).

Before the advent of flying with instruments pilots who flew over the ocean were unable to determine exactly how far above sea level they were. Because the view is fractalized, water looks the same at just about any altitude. With a clear blue sky, no clouds, boats, shoreline or any other frame of reference the fractalizing effect of water is deceiving. Are those big waves far away, or smaller waves closer up, or ripples?

Scripturally the Law is a a whole, with fractals. It is ONE law. Offending one small point is the same as offending the whole law. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. James 2:10.

The bad news:

As sinners in a sinful race we are fractals of the whole sinful nature of man. Each of us as the capability of committing any sin under the proper provocation. None of us is a "better quality" sinner than anyone else. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Rom.3:23.

The *Good News:

Jesus is Perfect. If you analyzed any aspect of His nature you would find Infinite Perfection. There is nothing lacking. Every "fractalized" part of Him is as perfect as the Whole! Every Word He speaks, every action is Perfect! 1Pet.2: 22. Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

Because Jesus is Perfect we have a Savior! He set up a perfect plan. 1John.3: 5. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

He was able to swap places with us so that we could be partakers of His perfection. 2Cor.5: 21. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

*"Gospel" means Good News! Hallelujah we have a Gospel message to tell!

The Name of Jesus Saves

1John.5: 13. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Yesterday's devotional was about fractals. A fractal means that if you divide a big thing into smaller parts, each little part is essentially the "same" as the whole.

Every cell in your body (except for eggs, sperm and red blood cells) contains a copy of your entire DNA sequence. Any random cell that you take, whether from skin, liver, bone, or whatever, gives the Whole picture of who you are in the DNA within it!

The "Name" of Jesus is the same. The "Name of Jesus" contains every name, every attribute, every adjective we could use to describe our Lord. It's as if His perfect "soul DNA" is a part of every aspect of His nature.

Common language has a saying about the "whole enchilada". With Jesus' "Name", it is the same. He is the complete everything. You cannot remove one thing from Jesus without destroying the Whole of Who He is.

God commands that the "name" of His Son must be believed. This is His complete name. 1John.3: 23. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, ...

This means that if you deny any part of His "Name" you have altered Jesus' name, and thus cannot be saved.

The mutated "Jesus" you concocted is an imposter, and useless to you.

Scripture tells us many things about the Name of Jesus and what He did. John.20: 31. But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. What parts of His "name" do people reject? Among others these include:

  • His Deity, 1John.4 : 15.Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
  • His sinlessness, 2Cor.5 :21. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
  • His role as Creator, John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
  • His role as Messiah, the anointed One. Acts.4 : 27.For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed,...
  • His role as The ONLY way of salvation. John.14 : 6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The sanctity of the name of Jesus is valuable. Acts.15 :26. Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the Word, and the Word is ALL about Jesus. In fact everything is all about Jesus! Acts.10: 43. To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Jesus is Emmanuel, God With Us!

(Lest we forget what Christmas is all about!)

Luke 2 (NASB)
Jesus’ Birth in Bethlehem
Now in those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus, that a census be taken of all the inhabited earth. This was the first census taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria. And everyone was on his way to register for the census, each to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, in order to register along with Mary, who was engaged to him, and was with child. While they were there, the days were completed for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,

“Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”

When the angels had gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds began saying to one another, “Let us go straight to Bethlehem then, and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has made known to us.” So they came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger. When they had seen this, they made known the statement which had been told them about this Child. And all who heard it wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart. The shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them.

Jesus is Our Perfect Example

Lately, there has been a popular acronym people use: WWJD, which stands for "What Would Jesus Do?" While people who use this have the best of intentions it would be more scriptural for us to use "WDJD", "What DID Jesus DO?" All of Scripture is about Jesus, and everything we ever experience in life He went through for us.We don't need to speculate what He would do, when we are told what he DID do in a like situation. We can look to scripture to see the examples our Creator, Savior, and New Father of humanity showed. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15.

If we remember that Jesus IS the WORD, we know that He has whatever answer we need right there in His Book. John.1:1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. V14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,

If we don't seem to see Jesus Incarnate involved in His earthly body in the situation we are questioning, we only need look elsewhere in His Word. All Scripture is given for our benefit. God did not place one word of chit-chat or filler in His Book. Every word is there for a reason, ready to be used when it is necessary. 2Tim.3: 16. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:..

We have undeniable principles of Scripture that never change. We just reapply them. If you have a fender bender in your car, the principles of the Law set in the Old Testament for compensating a neighbor for injured oxen still apply to damaged automobiles! And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit, and not cover it, and an ox or an ass fall therein; The owner of the pit shall make it good, and give money unto the owner of them;... Exodus 21: 33-4

All Scripture must be used correctly. God wields the sword of the Word in our hearts. When we use the Word we must not take it out of context.. Heb.4:12. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

We must turn to Scripture for the best answers to any question. Scripture completely gives us all we need for this life, and eternity. 2Tim.3: 17. ...That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Jesus Created Visuals of The Trinity

1John 5:7. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

We are so small!! There is no way in a million, zillion, gogillian years that we could even begin to comprehend God. He has given us some "visuals" to help us understand what we need to know about Him. He has told us that He exists as "Father, Son, and Holy Spirit". Three Persons, but One God. this is not a contradiction, but the thought flies right over our heads. We believe because God said so.

As a loving Creator, Jesus used triads, or threes, in much of creation. This is no "coincidence of evolution". These were deliberately designed to help us get a small picture of Who the Trinity is. None of the triads that God created can have any one part removed without the whole being incomplete. Yet each part is separate, with a separate identity and function. Examples:

  • The Universe, time, space, matter
  • Time: past, present, future.
  • Matter (basic states on earth): solid, liquid, gas
  • Measurement, units: length, width, heighth
  • Measurement, space: perimeter, area, volume
  • Matter (non transitional states): solid, liquid, gas
  • Music: melody, harmony, rhythm
  • Man: body, mind/spirit, eternal soul
  • Earth (planet): atmosphere, land, water
  • Geometry: points, lines, planes
  • Trigonometry: sine, cosine, tangent
  • Atoms (basic parts-does not include neutrinos) protons, neutrons, electrons
  • Cells (Eukaryotic /non-bacteria): membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus

The more we learn of our God, the more we will know Him. Yet we will never know Him much more than the blind men each knew the elephant.

The Blind Men and the Elephant

It was six men of Indostan
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see the Elephant
(Though all of them were blind),
That each by observation
Might satisfy his mind.

The First approach'd the Elephant,
And happening to fall
Against his broad and sturdy side,
At once began to bawl:
"God bless me! but the Elephant
Is very like a wall!"

The Second, feeling of the tusk,
Cried, -"Ho! what have we here
So very round and smooth and sharp?
To me 'tis mighty clear
This wonder of an Elephant
Is very like a spear!"

The Third approached the animal,
And happening to take
The squirming trunk within his hands,
Thus boldly up and spake:
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant
Is very like a snake!"

The Fourth reached out his eager hand,
And felt about the knee.
"What most this wondrous beast is like
Is mighty plain," quoth he,
"'Tis clear enough the Elephant
Is very like a tree!"

The Fifth, who chanced to touch the ear,
Said: "E'en the blindest man
Can tell what this resembles most;
Deny the fact who can,
This marvel of an Elephant
Is very like a fan!"

The Sixth no sooner had begun
About the beast to grope,
Then, seizing on the swinging tail
That fell within his scope,
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant
Is very like a rope!"

And so these men of Indostan
Disputed loud and long,
Each in his own opinion
Exceeding stiff and strong,
Though each was partly in the right,
And all were in the wrong!

MORAL.

So oft in theologic wars,
The disputants, I ween,
Rail on in utter ignorance
Of what each other mean,
And prate about an Elephant
Not one of them has seen!

John Godfrey Saxe ( 1816-1887)

Jesus Reveals the Father

Matt.11:27. All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

The Hebrew word for "father" is ab, or av; it's spelled alef, bet. It means "strength (leader) of the house". The Father is the provider; He is the Giver of every good gift. Jas.1:17. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (See http://libertyministriesgj.com/ArchDevPgs/2011%2002%20February.htm#2 )

Our Heavenly Father's best Gift to us is Jesus! For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16. The Hebrew word for "love" is ahav; it's spelled alef, hey, bet. It means "the Father revealed". (See http://libertyministriesgj.com/ArchDevPgs/2011%2002%20February.htm#3 )

Jesus re-established the connection between the Father and mankind that was cut when Adam and Eve sinned. Eph.2:18. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

The ministry of Jesus shows us how God cares for people. The love and tenderness that Jesus shows to us reflects that of the Father. He came with a servant's heart. He met with people individually and told them each what they needed to hear. He met needs. He healed the sick. He was a balm to broken hearts. To know Jesus is to know the Father. John.14: 9. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

All that Jesus did He did perfectly. Luke 3:22. ..., and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

And then it was finished when He gave up His life in the most horrible death ever suffered by anyone. He did this for us in obedience to the Father's will! 1John.4: 14. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

The Father gives us eternal life, and He gives it through his son! 1 John 5: 9,11. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son... And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

Jesus shows us the Father, and the Father gives us Jesus. We return to the original mysterious truth: I and my Father are one. John.10: 30.

God's Sovereign Protection

God is the sole and supreme ruler of the universe. He created the universe and can do whatever He wants whenever He wants. Nothing happens outside of his control. The Lord does whatever pleases him, in the heavens and on the earth. Psalm 135:6.

God needs no advice or consent for anything he chooses to do. Nor can anyone prevent him doing what he pleases: No one can hold back his hand or say to him: ‘What have you done?’ Daniel 4:35.

God does not need to give us explanations for what He does. We don't need to know and don't understand anyway. Isa.55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Yet the character of God, revealed in His Word, gives us some of the reasons for some of His actions. God is ALL GOOD ALL THE TIME! When someone spews forth that God is hateful they are absolutely wrong. It is true that God HATES sin and evil, but His love is infinite towards ALL sinners. His motivation for His commands and actions have always been for the ultimate good of mankind. His thoughts are of our need for salvation.

Satan hates all of mankind just because God loves us. God intervenes in the affairs of Mankind when we, either on our own, or under satanic influence, attempt to destroy ourselves. Satan has always had his children psychotically frenzied into an anti-Semitic lather. Satan was trying to wipe out the lineage of the Chosen Child to prevent God from redeeming the world. God knew when it was necessary to take decisive action to remove the Satanically induced genocide of the line of the Messiah. We only need to think of Pharoah and Herod killing babies, Hitler, or those right now who are calling for "death to Israel". God knew who was prepared to destroy Israel, and intervened.

God had to tell the Israelites to kill many of their enemies. He knew, with His infinite knowledge, that Israel did not have a Center for Disease Control (CDC), nor sufficient scientific or medical knowhow to combat all the diseases that sin had initiated. Many nations became riddled with STDs and other highly communicable deadly diseases.God knew a pandemic could annihilate humanity. In order to prevent this, God instructed the killing of some of Israel's enemies, including all animals. Sometimes Israel was told to destroy (burn) everything. This indicates disease control.

Israel was told that if they did not obey His laws, that diseases would come upon them as well. They would be infected due to the natural consequences of the opportunistic nature of disease. God determined to prevent that. These are passages enumerating consequences (curses) for disobedience: Deuteronomy 28:21,27. The Lord shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it...The Lord will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.
Leviticus 26: 16-17. I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart:...

God did not hate the people of the other nations. He just knew what had to be done to insure survival of Israel for the sake of the coming Child (who would open a lineage of obedience rather than rebellion). The whole world would benefit from this. Salvation is for all people in all nations. God promised that all could be redeemed because of the Child, the seed of the woman.
Genesis 18:18. Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
Genesis 22:18. And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

God commanded that under normal circumstances, when they weren't fighting for their lives, Israel was to treat all the other people with fairness. Leviticus 24:22. Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the Lord your God.

Today, Israel is again fighting for her life. The threat of terrorism has necessitated unusual security measures. We must pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Psalm 122:6.

Jesus, 100% Everything We Need!

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Hebrews 2:6-11.

God is all Good, all Holy, Perfect in every way. His creation was a reflection of this.

The universe's perfection was broken when sin entered the picture. Mankind was now completely altered, and unable to change back to its previous state. The genetic "soul DNA" had been mutated, and left in a ruined state.

There was no human with that Perfect Soul DNA who could reinstate it into the human race. Someone had to be found with that qualification. But no human had that ability. And even if one could be found, he, as a created being with free choice, would also fall into sin at some point. No human would ever choose to submit to God for all eternity without choosing self at some point.

Only God had the ability to choose the perfect path 100% of the time, for that's Who He is!--Perfect 100% of the time!!

So we need a 100% human --but One Who is also 100% God with 100% perfect "soul DNA"!

Only Jesus has the appropriate resume and qualifications! The Everlasting Father of Creation became The Everlasting Father of the Redeemed new people!

Hallelujah!

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6.

Down From His Glory

Words by William E. Booth-Clibborn
Music by Eduardo di Capua, 1921

Oh, how I love Him
How I adore Him
My breath, my sunshine
My all in all
The great Creator
Became my Savior
And all God's fullness
Dwelleth in Him

Down from His Glory
Ever living story
My God my Savior came
And Jesus was His name
Born in a manger
To His own, a stranger
A Man of sorrows, fears and agony

What condescension,
Bringing us redemption;
That in the dead of night,
Not one faint hope in sight,
God, gracious, tender,
Laid aside His splendor,
Stooping to woo, to win, to save my soul.

Without reluctance
Flesh and blood His substance
He took the form of man
Revealed the hidden plan
Oh, glorious myst'ry
Sacrifice of Calv'ry
And now I know Thou wert the great "I am"

Jesus is the Beginning and the End, the Alef and Tav, the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Author and Finisher:

He Brings All Things Full Circle!

...Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Revelation 1:18.

God claimed to be the "First and the Last." Isa. 44:6. Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

Jesus made the same claim. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Revelation 1:8.

The LORD, the Creator is the first and the last. Isa.41: 4. Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.

The Bible says Jesus is God, our Savior, our Lord, He is the author of salvation! For only God can save! He finished it! Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2.

With God there are no accidents or surprises. He authors all the world’s history and works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will. In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: Ephesians 1:11.

If Jesus were not the Creator (Author) of our every existence, He would be unable to save us (Finisher). Then we would be eternally lost in our sins. He brought all things full circle.

He is is called ‘Mighty God’ and ‘Everlasting Father’. In Hebrew this is literally ‘Father of Eternity’, meaning ‘Author of Eternity’. He is the Eternal One Who is outside of time, Who begins and ends time. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6.

Jesus is the Controller of life and death. He conquered death for us. Rev.1:11. Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: ...17-18. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Rev.2:8.... These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

Jesus is the Water of Life. He is the fountain and the water. And he said un to me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. Rev.21:6. But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. John 4:14.

One more time, Just in case we have forgotten: It is ALL ABOUT Jesus! I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Rev.22:13.

And He shall be called...
